9th World Computer Chess Championship 1999

9th World Computer Chess Championship 1999 took place 14 - 20 June 1999 in Paderborn, Germany. 30 programs were participated in 7-round Swiss.
Stefan Meyer-Kahlen's program Shredder (Germany) became World Microcomputer Champion. Shredder and Ferret (programmer Bruce Moreland, USA) both scored 5,5 points, but on coefficient Shredder became champion. The additional game between the winners was finished in a draw.
3-4.Fritz (Germany) and Cilkchess (USA) - 5.
