1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 a6 6. f3 e6 7. Be3 b5 8. g4 Nfd7 9. Qd2 Nb6 10. O-O-O N8d7 11. Ndxb5!
An interesting novelty. Before this 11. Bg5 Qc7 was played and only then 12. Ndxb5. In the game Ponomariov, R - Svidler, P, FIDE WCh, Moscow (6.2) Black played 12...axb5 13. Nxb5 Qc6 14. Nxd6+ Bxd6 15. Qxd6 Qxd6 16. Rxd6 Ba6 17. Bxa6 Rxa6 18. a3 h5 19. gxh5 Ra5 20. h4 Nc4 21. Rc6 Rc5 22. Rxc5 Nxc5 23. b3 Nxa3 24. h6 gxh6 25. Be3 Nb7 (1/2, 46).
Or 16...Rxa2 17. Kb1 Ra5 18. Bd2 Ra7 19. Bb5 Kd8 20. Rd1 Kc7 21. Bf4 e5 22. Be3 Rb7, Kunte, A - Sasikiran, K, ch-IND, Nagpur 2002 (0-1, 54).
11...axb5

12. Nxb5 Rxa2?
A greedy move. Better is 12... Ba6! 13. Nxd6+ Bxd6 14. Qxd6. Here dubious is 14... Bxf1?! 15. Bxb6 Qg5+ 16. f4 Qb5 17. Rhxf1 Nxb6 18. b3 Nd7 19. f5! e5 (19... Nc5? 20. fxe6 Nxe6 21. a4 Qb7 22. Rxf7!! Kxf7 (22... Qxf7 23. Qc6+ Ke7 24. Rd7+ Kf8 25. Qxa8+ Qe8 26. Qd5) 23. Rf1+ Nf4 24. Rxf4+ Ke8 25. Qe6+ Kd8 26. Rf5 winning) 20. a4 Qb7 21. Rf3 Ra6 22. Qd5 with advantage to White in the ending.
More precise is 14...Nc4 15. Bxc4 Bxc4 16. Qd4 Be2 (16... Rxa2 17. Kb1 Qc8 18. Qxg7 Rf8 19. Rxd7 Kxd7 20. Rd1+ Kc6 21. b3 Ra6 with a small edge to White) 17. Qxg7 Rf8 18. Bc5 Bxd1 19. Rxd1 Qc7 20. Bd6 Qb6 21. Kb1 Qe3 22. Bb4 and the first player has slightly better chances.
13. Kb1 Ra8
Or 13... Ra6 14. Nxd6+ Bxd6 15. Bxa6 Bxa6 16. Qxd6 Bb5 17. Qxb6 Qxb6 18. Bxb6 Nxb6.
14. Nxd6+ Bxd6 15. Qxd6 Na4
If 15... Ra5 then 16. Qb4.
16. Bb5 Qe7 17. Qd4 e5 18. Qd5 Nc3+!? 19. bxc3 Rb8 20. Rd3 O-O 21. c4

21...Nb6?!
Losing at once. Correct is 21... Qb4+!? 22. Rb3 Qa5 23. Qd2 with a clear edge to White.
22. Qc5! Qf6 23. g5
After 23...Qg6 followed by 24. Qxf8+! Kxf8 25. Bc5+ Kg8 26. Rd8 mate!
Black resigned. 1-0
