Kasparov, Garry (2830) - Kramnik, Vladimir (2751) [C67]
BGN World Chess Championship, London (13) 29.10.2000 [Schipkov]

Notes by Boris Schipkov

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Nf6 4. O-O Nxe4 5. d4 Nd6 6. Bxc6 dxc6 7. dxe5 Nf5 8. Qxd8+ Kxd8 9. Nc3 h6 10. h3
Another continuation. In the 9-th game Kasparov played 10. Rd1 +.
10...Ke8
Kramnik, on the contrary, makes the same as in the above mentioned game.
11. Ne4
Very rare move. More popular is 11. Ne2.
11...c5! 12. c3 b6

13. Re1 Be6
The position is equal. The situation in this match demands, that Kasparov should play on a victory in each game. However, on the following move Garry offers a draw. Probably, it would be better for Kasparov to try 1.d4 or to play a kings' gambit.
14. g4
Draw. 1/2-1/2
