In the game Polgar, Zs - Azmaiparashvili, Z, Dortmund-A 1990 (1-0, 42) White obtained an edge after 8...dxe5 9. Qxd8+ Kxd8 10. h3 Be6 11. O-O-O+ Kc8 12. g4 Nf7 13. Rg1 b6 14. c5 Kb7 15. Nd5 Rad8 16. Ba6+ Kb8 17. a3.

A novelty. Less flexible is 9. Nxe5 dxe5 10. Qxd8+ Kxd8 11. O-O-O+ Bd7 12. f3 c6 13. c5 Ke7 14. Bc4 Rhd8 15. Nb1 Nf7 16. Na3 Be6 17. Bxe6 Kxe6 18. Nc4 Rxd1+ 19. Kxd1 Bh6 20. Bxh6 Nxh6 with equal ending in Polgar, Zs - Drazic, S, Novi Sad tt 1990 (1-0, 42).

A serious inaccuracy. Black weakens the d6 pawn and a lot of squares in the centre and kingside. Better was 10... O-O 11. O-O with a small but lasting edge to White.

If 11...Nxe5 then 12. Nxe5 dxe5 13. Qa4+ Bd7 14. Qa3 b6 15. O-O-O O-O 16. h4 with an attack.
12. Qd3
White has a clear advantage.
