Round 11: Grischuk - Kasparov 1/2 (White obtained some edge), Svidler - Dreev 1-0, Timofeev - Epishin 1/2, Morozevich - Motylev 1-0, Bareev - Korotylev 1-0 (White had a strong bishop).
Round 10: Kasparov - Morozevich 1/2 (Garry won a pawn), Dreev - Tseshkovsky 1-0 (Alexey attacked), Epishin - Svidler 1/2, Korotylev - Grischuk 1-0 (Alexey obtained a powerful attack), Motylev - Timofeev 1/2.
Round 9: Timofeev - Kasparov 0-1 (Black had some edge), Grischuk - Bareev 1-0 (Knight+bishop vs rook), Svidler - Motylev 0-1 (Black successfully pushed the d-pawn), Morozevich - Korotylev 1-0 (White stood slightly better in the endgame), Tseshkovsky - Epishin 1/2 (White won a pawn).
Round 8: Kasparov - Svidler 1-0 (Garry grabbed a pawn in the ending), Epishin - Dreev 1/2, Korotylev - Timofeev 1-0 (Black sacrificed the exchange), Bareev - Morozevich 1/2, Motylev - Tseshkovsky 1-0 (White sacrificed the exchange).
Round 7: Tseshkovsky - Kasparov 0-1 (White attacked), Svidler - Korotylev 1-0 (Sicilian. Peter seized the only open file and pounced on the black king), Dreev - Motylev 1/2 (White won only a pawn), Timofeev - Bareev 1/2 (Perpetual check), Morozevich - Grischuk 1/2 (A draw by repetition).

Black grabbed a pawn), Bareev - Svidler 1/2 (A quick draw in the Gruenfeld. White grabbed a queen), Motylev - Epishin 1-0 (Sicilian. White won the exchange).
