The Levon Aronian vs Vladimir Kramnik 2007 match took place in Yerevan (Armenia) May 4th-6th. Aronian-Kramnik 4-2.
Kramnik-Aronian 1-0. A theoretical duel, Marshall Ruy Lopez. The manoeuvre 25...Nf4, 26...Nh3+ check is not good. After the elegant 28.Bxe6+ Vladimir got a winning endgame.
Aronian-Kramnik 1-0. Levon obtained a small edge in the Slav, gradually outplayed the rival in the ending.
Kramnik-Aronian 0-1. In the equal position Vladimir made a mistake 31.b4. Levon grabbed the exchange.
Aronian-Kramnik 1-0. Levon seized space on the kingside. The active 18...f6 was better, trying to open the game for the bishops and rooks.
Kramnik-Aronian 1/2. A sharp fight. Vladimir could checkmate with 39.Rf7+, then Levon could win.
Aronian-Kramnik 1/2. Black had an advantage. Vladimir could win with 45...Ng4, also 36...Qxf3+ was interesting.
