Here Gerard Welling stopped the clock and resigned. Why? White has a clear advantage, but has no extra pawn or piece. However, we see all White's pieces stand on better places and Black has no counterplay. It is a very boring and tiresome to play such type of passive position with a lot of weak points. Possible is 17...Bxe2 18. Nxe2 Rb7 19. Nd4 Qd7 (or 19... Bxd4 20. Bxd4 Qh4 21. Qc3 f6 22. Rbe1 Nc7 23. Re3 Rf8 24. Rh3 Qg4 25. f5 Ne5

28. Bf4 Rd7 29. Bd6+ Ne7 30. Rfe1 winning.
