Hou Yifan - Matlakov 0-1. The Spanish Game. A very strange opening repertoire from Hou Yifan, in every game with white pieces she had worse positions.
Karjakin - Mamedyarov 1/2. The Russian Game.
Caruana - So 1/2. The Nimzo-Indian Defence. Fabiano attacked on the kingside with f4 and g4, could have won many times.

Kramnik - Svidler 1-0. The Gruenfeld Defence. Vladimir outplayed the rival in the endgame.

So - Karjakin 1/2. The Ragozin Defence.
Mamedyarov - Matlakov 1/2. The Semi-Slav Defence.
Tata Steel Masters 2018, Round 3: Chess Games

Round 2
Hou Yifan - Mamedyarov 0-1. The French Defence. The plan with 15.Rab1?! and 16.Rb5? was bad, the simple 15.cxd5 was better. Very strong Black's knights.
Matlakov - So 1/2. The Catalan Opening. A draw in 30 moves.
Karjakin - Anand 1/2. The Reti Opening.
Caruana - Jones 1/2. The King's Indian Defence. A sharp fight, but this is a risky opening for Black.
Adhiban - Carlsen 0-1. The Four Knights Game. 25.Bf3? was a mistake, 25.c3 was better.
Wei Yi - Svidler 1/2. The Gruenfeld Defence.
Giri - Kramnik 1-0. The English Opening. After 15...f5? Black's position was weak.
